Behind the brand.

Our Story

Britney Rancifer, the founder of Honee Glitz, was always inspired by all things beauty as a young child.  Britney's Grandmother (Granny) would give her, her sister, and cousins money($1-$5) now and then.  Britney would ask her Granny to take her to the local hair supply store to buy braiding hair and beads at around age 7.

Britney's mother had sickle cell disease, so she thought that she wanted to become a Registered Nurse to care for people and own a Salon on the side.  During high school,  Britney began taking cosmetology classes as an elective at Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff, AR.  After high school, she began pursuing her nursing career, attending college at SEARK as well as working at JRMC as an ER Tech.  Britney saw a lot in a short time during her employment and quickly realized that nursing was not for her.  She began cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell the following Spring (2010).  Britney was always feisty,  and never was one to watch what she said, but has always had a caring heart.

Once Britney decided to start a family and began to have children, she realized that she couldn't handle the fumes of the products anymore because she had nausea during the entirety of each pregnancy.  Needless to say, she definitely wasn't building her clientele even to begin to make a living as a cosmetologist.

In 2016, things started to really SHIFT for Britney.  She'd always knew GOD, but she thought giving her life to him would mean that she had to be PERFECT!  God began to tug at Britney like never before at that time.  She started a job as a cosmetologist at a nursing home and really enjoyed caring for  and grooming the residents. They loved Britney, and she loved them as well.  God started to speak to Britney about walking in a spirit of EXPECTANCY everyday, and she did!  She would sit some days at the nursing home planning to open a Salon & Spa but had no clue of how.

Late 2017, it became harder for her to sleep at night due to preparation for the opening of her business.  She planned to open the Salon & Spa July 7, 2018 and remain working at the nursing home after opening the Salon.  Those were NOT Gods plans,  the nursing home position unexpectedly closed April 17, 2018.   Britney didn't have the resources to begin the Salon (financially), and her spouse, who thinks everything through,  didn't want to take the risk of opening a new business.  But GOD!!! God showed Britney the path, and she was able to open the doors July 7, 2018 (the same day she'd written down back in 2017)!! Everything happened so fast. Britney has grown as mother, wife, business owner, and her relationship with God is inseparable.

There have been times throughout the year that she has almost given up,  she's had to keep the faith and know Gods grace and mercy will carry her through.   Giving up isn't apart of the plan, and Britney is changing lives daily and indeed walking in her purpose.  She's very inspired and optimistic these days and most of all, at perfect peace.   Keep your faith and trust God no matter what it looks like.   Remain humble and everyday walk in a way that Jesus would.  Understand that you're not going to be perfect and mistakes will be made!  Write down your visions and put a DATE on it, Pray, Execute, Repeat!!
